Capture Your Identity

Your photo can make your information uniquely you.

Why You Must Post YOUR Photo!

It is critical that you post your photo on all of your Social Networking sites, with your blog, your web page, and anywhere else you have an Internet presence.

You may be unique but your name seldom is and as you build your brand you must protect yourself and your efforts. Do not leave it to chance or make people try to guess whether they have the correct person; make it easy for them by posting a current picture.

Using a current picture serves another purpose as well; today we meet many people on the Internet first and face to face later. If we have a current picture posted we can overcome the identification issue much easier.

As an example a couple of weeks ago I was to meet a friend, who was introducing me to a new connection. We were meeting for lunch and I arrived before my friend. I gave my name and then proceeded to wait. As I turned around the person that I was there to meet saw me and from my picture on the Internet recognized me and we started talking. Had it not been for the picture I would have been standing next to where he was sitting while we both waited. The picture made the difference.

Avatar is not just in the movies.

An avatar (lower case) is more than a James Cameron movie. Avatar is also the name of a pictorial representation of you. It can be a three dimensional alter ego or it can be your actual picture. Many websites today will locate your avatar and associate it with the things you write on the Internet.

It is easy to get an avatar and you can get it for free. One place that you can go to create your free avatar is Second Life. Click the link and create your avatar.
